An incident when I was caught in a storm.

I had hoped to reach the nearest shelter before the storm hit me. As I glanced down, however, a dark shape was swallowing the valley in huge gulps. Thunder boomed in the distance. Suddenly, the storm was on me.

It started pouring heavily. I was drenched in water and my shoe was muddy and soaked badly. I felt disgusted. I had learnt a lesson not to leave my aunt’s place so late and to also carry an umbrella wherever I go even though it is a sunny day. I called my father from the nearest public phone to ask him if he would be able to pick me up. He was working and I had no choice but to wait for the rain to ease. I waited for almost an hour sitting down at the coffee shop drinking a cup of coffee. I wanted to take a cab, but I only had a dollar twenty with me which was just enough for a drink.

After an hour, I was a little dry and decided to go back home before it starts raining again. As I walked back home the sky grew darker again and it started raining. I reached home all wet, wiped myself dry and looked out of the window finding for people whom are in the situation I was in a few minutes ago.

Confessions of a Thantophobiac

Confessions of a Thantophobiac

An incident happened to me two years ago. Deepavali was around the corner. Normally, my parents and relatives will go to the cemetery and will give offerings for deepavali to their ancestors. Two year's ago, I wanted to face my fear's and I decided to follow them. I hesitated at first, but I knew that I could not live in fear for long, as one day I myself would have to go to the cemetery. We all met in my uncle's house and travelled in his lorry to the cemetery. When we reached there I was very excited. My friends have told me that when you wear red and go to the cemetery, you can see spirits. I was very curious thus I wore my red dress and red slippers. When I went there my uncle told me to stay in the lorry with my cousin as it would be very dangerous. I did not know why.

I pretended to listen to him and obeyed his instructions. When we were in the lorry I waited for my cousin to fall asleep. I heard a sound from behind the tree. I wandered off as I was really getting very curious. When I reached the tree, someone pulled my hand and I started screaming with my eyes closed. I did not know what had happened after that. After a while, I heard my mother calling my name. I woke up startled and panting like a dog. I did not want to know what had happened. It has been two years since that incident happened. But it still pop's up in my head now and then. It haunts me in the night.

I hate death!!!! Well, although I know that all of us have do die one day and even our loved ones have to die one day, I m still scared of losing them. Nowadays, although technology has grown, olden beliefs and history will not be forgotten.

How i had spent my school holidays

We had our term break on 28 October 2007. I had spent my first month of my holidays by attending school as my school was organizing a concert, METIER VII and I was occupied by the practices. I was very satisfied with my performance in the concert. My mom, grandmother, aunty and cousin came to support my school concert. They too enjoyed the concert put up by my school.

The second month, I visited my relatives, went out with my friends, spent time with my family. My closest aunty went for a major operation. As it was holiday time, I went to visit her everyday and gave moral support for my cousin that her mom will recover soon. I also followed my aunty for her medical reviews.

As we went India during the March holidays , we did not go any overseas trips this holidays. Just two week’s before school reopened I started studying for me secondary two.

On 29 December we went for a chalet. My entire family member’s were there. We had a great time. I had spent my new year playing with all my cousins.

Well, lastly i would like to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
